Asking Online

It is generally permissible to ask your questions online, but it may be futile if you are not asking scholars. I don’t see the benefit of not getting a reliable answer while exposing your sins to the public. Asking Islam questions online is not sinful as you are seeking knowledge, but asking publicly about your own sin can be potentially sinful. When you ask, it is better to imply that the questioner is someone else, and not you, or ask anonymously, as is done here at SeekersGuidance. Asking anonymously is not sinful.

Turn to Allah

Don’t think about it too much, rather, focus on learning your religion correctly. Take free courses with us, devote yourself to better religious practice and ask Allah to help you transform into one who remembers Him often and puts His pleasure before anything else.
