The Difference between a Man & Woman’s Sujud & Ruku
Question:
The Difference between a Man & Woman’s Sujud & Ruku
Answer:
Wa alaykum salam wa rahmatuLlahi wa barakatuHu,
The way in which the man and woman’s prayer is performed is similar, except for it being recommended for a woman: 1) to draw her limbs close together, 2) to draw her body together with her thighs, 3) to wear thick clothing that covers her properly, and 4) to keep her voice lowered, clapping her hands rather than saying “SubhanAllah” to indicate forgetfulness. (Mukhtasar al-Muzani 27; Sharh al-Muhadhdhab 3/526)
And Allah knows best.
